Sarah & Rory

I always enjoy Chicago weddings. Venues in the city tend to be more unique due to their greater focus on the building architecture. Sarah and Rory’s wedding brought me back to the Bridgeport Art Center. I had previously done a wedding there, and I was excited to return!

Their wedding took place this past September; and they chose a mix of burgundy, gold and sage to complement the season. Sarah wanted her flowers to have an organic feel, which worked so perfectly in the raw space that is Bridgeport Art Center.

The boutonnieres for the men were also designed to have a more organic feel. They were created with a mixture of olive and berries.

A loose collection of greens and flowers were attached to the end of the aisle chairs adding a bit of color to the simplistic ceremony site.

I am a huge fan of candle light—especially in a space like this one. The centerpieces were assembled using floating candles of various heights with loose greens and flowers tucked in. They created a very natural yet full look on the tables.

It was a joy working with Rory and Sarah for their wedding. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together.
